This seems like it would be the perfect opportunity to insert one of those corny: "What did the Fox Say" jokes....but I'm not going to. (Plus that is so 2000 and yesterday.)
It was almost too much to take in when Tammy and I finally got up the hill and around the corner to where our friends living in Andes, N.Y. told us that they had a family of foxes living on their property. She called them "kits", which I thought was the most adorable name for these wild pups.
They were fearless, stunningly regal with hauntingly blue eyes that looked straight into my heart! (Not really, but so it seemed). I say they were fearless because I was able to get within 20 feet of these majestic kit/pups, and they didn't even flinch! They merely went about their business of playing and napping as I peered into their world for just a moment.
I can't remember a time when I felt more at peace; being allowed to see into a world that I've never looked into before, knowing that this is just a small taste of what life is going to be like someday.
